Our Digital Skills for Business qualifications have been designed by the digital experts, to offer an innovative approach for business and administrative staff to develop their digital skills through a fully accredited qualification.

Our learning pathways offer contextualised, relevant learning experiences, which are based on ‘lived experience’ within the business sector. These provide the opportunity to develop your digital skills, helping you to understand how to take advantage of digital opportunities in the workplace.

The programmes are designed to increase your digital confidence and competence, and will also explore how technology can be used collaboratively. The qualifications aim to enhance how you can perform your role effectively, and align with the Digital Strategy for Wales 2030, ensuring employees have the skills to work effectively with a range of digital tools.

What To Expect From Our Digital Skills for Business Course

Our courses are designed to provide an innovative route to apprenticeship completion with collaborative learning being central to your experience. You can expect support on many different levels, which include the A2B Hub – our online learning platform is a central hub for you to access learning content and engage in collaborative learning.

Access to our Aspire360 learning platform will help you to explore module content and consolidate learning, along with support in the workplace, through one to one virtual and face to face support sessions, specific to you and your working context.

We encourage innovative learning; using a range of methods to cover the requirements within the course. We also help you to develop innovative ways of showcasing your learning, it’s not just your typical assignments.

Our Digital Skills for Business course can be studied through online and distance learning, with online resources available to you 24/7. You’ll be learning from the experts, as our trainer coaches all have extensive industry experience and knowledge.

When you complete your qualification, you will be awarded a nationally recognised, fully accredited qualification.

Level 2 & 3 Digital Skills for Business Diploma

Our courses are suitable for those who work with digital technologies and associated systems, such as Microsoft 365, on a regular basis, including all office and administrative staff. Our Level 2 pathway is aimed at those in administrative or personnel roles, while our Level 3 pathway is aimed at those with a greater level of digital literacy, or those in team leader or management roles.

You will study several mandatory units, including Digital Collaboration, Creating Digital Presentations, Data Management Software and Digital Communications.

You will also choose optional units suited to your role and areas of interest. These can include Word Processing, Project Management Software, Database Software and Data Analysis.

What will you learn during your qualification?

As part of this course, you will understand how to leverage technology to support your role and responsibilities, and develop your knowledge and understanding of business-specific digital tools and technologies.

You will develop your confidence, competence and experience of working with a variety of digital tools and technologies, along with understanding the role of digital in collaborative working, and supporting colleagues and the wider team.

You will also build key digital skills and awareness of tools to support personal and professional development and enhance your CV with a recognised, transferable, and fully accredited qualification through Agored Cymru.

What Happens After Your Digital Skills for Business Training?

Following completion of the course, you will have achieved a level 2 or 3 Diploma in Digital Skills for Business (total of 40 credits minimum). You’ll also have achieved Essential Skills in Application of Number and Communication Level 1 or 2.

You will receive a certificate as proof of your newly gained, fully accredited qualification and will be invited to attend Educ8’s Gradu8 ceremony, where you will get the chance to celebrate your fantastic achievement!

Digital Skills for Business Apprenticeships In Wales FAQS

To be eligible for our fully-funded course, you must be in a relevant role. You can be new to your role, or a current, experienced member of staff already in employment. You must be working in Wales, and employed for 16 hours a week or more. Contact us for more information on eligibility.

As part of the apprenticeship, you will be required to meet with your trainer coach monthly (approximately 1.5/2 hours) and to engage in learning content and assignments around your schedule. Time can vary from person to person, but in total, you can expect to attribute between 5 and 8 hours per month.
