Emily Evans completed the Digital Learning Practitioner qualification to further her professional development and enhance her CV.
Looking back on the experience, Emily believes the qualification has benefited not only herself, but also her pupils and her school. The programme motivated her to explore new educational trends and helped boost her confidence in her role. She felt empowered being able to discuss and report on digital teaching and learning approaches that had already become integral parts of her classroom practice.
Throughout the monthly modules and assignments, Emily undertook research to develop a deeper understanding of digital tools and educational technologies. She particularly enjoyed the opportunity to be creative and independent in how she presented her learning, finding new and innovative ways to record and share her findings.
Emily also highlighted the support she received from her Trainer Coach throughout the qualification. Meeting monthly, she found the guidance and encouragement invaluable. Whenever questions arose, even between meetings, support was always available when needed.
Overall, Emily found that completing the qualification enabled her to gain valuable skills, increased her confidence and motivation in the classroom, and helped ensure her teaching of digital skills remains relevant and up to date.
