Fully funded training for adults living in Wales

Personal Learning Account (PLA)

A Personal Learning Account (PLA) provides eligible adults with access to fully funded, part-time courses. PLA funding supports people who are looking to upskill in their current role, retrain for a new career, or gain qualifications that are valued by employers. The programme focuses on areas where skills are in demand across Wales, helping learners develop the knowledge and capabilities needed to succeed in a changing economy.

What is a Personal Learning Account?

A Personal Learning Account is a Welsh Government funded initiative that allows eligible adults to access funded training and qualifications while living in Wales. It is designed to support individuals who want to continue learning while balancing work, family or other commitments.

Courses funded through PLA are delivered flexibly by our expert tutors. PLA funding supports lifelong learning and helps adults in Wales respond to changing job markets and skills requirements. Through undertaking PLA courses, adults in Wales can continue to develop in their chosen field without any financial restraints.
