Connor Ford enrolled on the Digital Skills for Business qualification after previously completing ILM Level 4 and 5 qualifications with Educ8.
Having found those programmes hugely beneficial to his professional development, he was keen to continue building his vocational learning and saw the Digital Skills for Business course as the ideal next step.
The course content immediately appealed to Connor, particularly the unit titles and the opportunity to refresh and develop his digital skills. The inclusion of digital workshops was a major factor in his decision to enrol, as they offered the practical learning experience he was looking for.
Since starting the programme, Connor has enjoyed developing new skills and gaining experience with different software. During the course, he also moved into a new role as a Technical Training and Competence Officer at Nuaire. As his role places a strong emphasis on creating digital resources and presentations, he has already been able to apply tips and ideas from the qualification in his day-to-day work.
Connor also highlighted the support he has received from his Trainer Coach, Andy. He found the guidance and resources provided throughout the course extremely beneficial and appreciated Andy’s ability to make every session productive and valuable.
He has also found the course structure easy to follow, with clear marking criteria and straightforward feedback that helps him understand exactly what is required for each learning outcome.
One of the standout features of the programme for Connor has been the digital workshops. He described them as “worth their weight in gold” and particularly enjoys being able to work through course materials in context while following the trainer-led sessions.
Overall, Connor has had a very positive experience with the qualification and would highly recommend it to others. As someone who is always looking to add to his vocational qualifications, he sees the Digital Skills for Business course as an excellent addition to his professional development.
