Connor Ford enrolled on Aspire 2Be’s Digital Skills for Business qualification after previously completing ILM Level 4 and 5 qualifications with Educ8.
Keen to continue building on his vocational learning, Connor saw the course as an ideal opportunity to strengthen his digital skills. The course content and unit titles immediately stood out to him, and the inclusion of digital workshops played a major role in his decision to enrol.
From the outset, Connor found the course to be a positive experience and enjoyed developing new skills and becoming more confident with unfamiliar software. As he progressed through the qualification, he was able to see how the learning could support his day-to-day work and wider professional development.
Since starting the course, Connor has moved into a new role at Nuaire as Technical Training and Competence Officer. With a strong focus on creating digital resources and presentations, the qualification has been particularly relevant in helping him build skills that support this next stage in his career. He has already begun taking practical ideas and useful techniques from the course that he can apply in his role going forward.
The support Connor has received throughout the programme has also been an important part of his experience. He described his Trainer Coach, Andy, as both understanding and supportive, providing a wide range of knowledge and resources while making each session as productive as possible. Connor also found the marking criteria clear and concise, which helped him understand exactly what was expected for each learning outcome, while feedback remained straightforward and easy to follow.
A standout feature of the qualification for Connor has been the digital workshops. He found them especially valuable, and appreciated being able to work through course materials in context as the trainer delivered each session. This practical, applied approach helped make the learning feel relevant and immediately useful.
Overall, Connor has spoken very positively about his experience on the course so far. For him, the qualification has been an excellent addition to his existing vocational learning, helping him build practical digital skills that support both his current role and his longer-term professional development.
