Hayley Blacker recently completed the Digital Skills for Business micro-credential through Aspire 2Be.
Hayley first heard about the micro course after it was recommended by her manager as a valuable professional development opportunity. Already passionate about developing new digital skills, Hayley saw the course as a chance to advance her expertise and improve the way she works day to day.
While Hayley already had experience using a variety of digital tools in her role, she wanted to improve both her confidence and efficiency with them. The course gave her the opportunity to do so, combining familiar applications with new areas of learning in a way that felt practical and relevant to her work.
As she progressed through the course, Hayley found the content highly applicable to her role. It provided a useful refresher on digital tools she was already using, while also introducing her to new applications such as Google Docs. This helped her not only strengthen her existing skills, but also broaden her digital capability in ways that could be applied immediately in the workplace.
A key part of Hayley’s positive experience was the support she received throughout the programme. She found the course tutor to be both patient and supportive, which helped to enhance her learning experience. That guidance played an important role in helping her get the most from the course and build confidence as she developed her skills.
Since completing the micro-credentials, Hayley has recommended the course to colleagues as a great way to refresh existing knowledge and build new digital skills. For her, the programme offered a practical and confidence-building learning experience that supported her professional development and added value to her day-to-day role. She would recommend it to anyone looking to strengthen their digital capabilities in a meaningful and relevant way.
