I first discovered the Supporting Teaching & Learning course through an email sent by Aspire 2Be, which highlighted a range of courses that might be of interest to me.
As someone who had previously completed a course with Aspire 2Be, I occasionally receive targeted emails from them about other relevant learning opportunities, which I always find useful. This particular email was forwarded to our staff to see if anyone wanted to take it up as part of their professional development, and I decided to give it a go.
I decided to enroll in the STL course to refresh my existing skills and to build on my current knowledge. I’m always looking for ways to grow professionally, and I saw this as a great opportunity to not only enhance my abilities but also to gain new skills that could be beneficial in my role. Plus, having this qualification would be a valuable addition to my professional development portfolio.
The course has been a real confidence booster for me, especially in my role supporting teaching and learning activities. It’s given me a deeper understanding of different learning styles and strategies, which means I can now tailor my support to meet individual learners’ needs more effectively.
With this Level 3 qualification, I feel better equipped to support diverse learners and their unique needs. It also shows my commitment to professional growth, which is something I’m proud of. Should I decide to explore new opportunities within the education sector, this qualification opens up a range of career options.
