Completing his qualification with Aspire 2Be has been a highly valuable and rewarding journey for Nathan, supporting both his professional growth and day-to-day effectiveness in the classroom.
Working as a Learning Support Assistant, Nathan was keen to strengthen his skills in key areas such as safeguarding, communication, and supporting learners with additional needs. Through the course, he has not only built his knowledge but also developed greater confidence in applying these skills in a practical setting.
Nathan noted that the clear connection between theory and practice enabled him to immediately implement what he learned in the classroom, whether that meant adapting support strategies, improving communication with pupils, or taking a more reflective approach to his own professional development.
A key part of Nathan’s success has been the support he received from his trainer coach, Chloe. Her approachable and encouraging nature, combined with clear and constructive feedback, helped Nathan stay motivated throughout the course. Balancing work, study, and personal commitments can be challenging, but this consistent support made a significant difference to his overall experience.
Reflecting on his journey, Nathan highlights how the qualification has enhanced not only his current practice but also his long-term career aspirations within education. He now feels better equipped to make a meaningful impact in the classroom and continue progressing in his career.
