The digital product manager requires a holistic understanding of the technology, the data and the requirements of the product users and uses this knowledge to bring together and direct a team to produce systems, services, apps, websites or software in a digital environment. The manager uses feedback on the digital product to maintain and make enhancements and improvements during the product lifecycle.

Our Digital Product Management course can be studied through online and distance learning, with online resources available to you 24/7. You’ll be learning from the experts, as our trainer coaches all have extensive industry experience and knowledge.
When you complete your qualification, you will be awarded a nationally recognised, fully accredited qualification.
This qualification is appropriate for those working in the public or private sector who interact with a wide range of people both inside and outside of their digital and technical development team and their organisation.
This qualification equips you with the skills to lead digital products from concept to improvement, combining expertise in technology, data, and user needs.
As part of this course you will learn how to manage digital products throughout their lifecycle. You will gain a strong understanding of technology, data, and user needs. The knowledge developed will allow you to lead your team in delivering, and improving digital systems, services, and software. You’ll learn practical skills in agile methods, user-centered design, data-informed decision making, product innovation and problem solving.
These skills will help you develop digital products from the beginning to meet both organisational and user needs. The qualification also improves your ability to communicate well, work with different departments, and keep up with new technologies. This ensures you can deliver products that are relevant, high quality, and based on real user insights.
You will also enhance your CV with a recognised, transferable, and fully accredited qualification through Agored Cymru.
Following completion of the course, you will have achieved a level 4 Diploma in Digital Product Management (total of 111 credits minimum). You’ll also have achieved Essential Skills in Application of Number and Communication Level 2.
You will receive a certificate as proof of your newly gained, fully accredited qualification and will be invited to attend Educ8’s Gradu8 ceremony, where you will get the chance to celebrate your fantastic achievement!
To be eligible for our fully-funded course, you must be in a relevant role. You can be new to your role, or a current, experienced member of staff already in employment. You must be working in Wales, and employed for 16 hours a week or more. Contact us for more information on eligibility.

As part of the apprenticeship, you will be required to meet with your trainer coach monthly (approximately 1.5/2 hours) and to engage in learning content and assignments around your schedule. Time can vary from person to person, but in total, you can expect to attribute between 5 and 8 hours per month.
