Learn how to ingest, transform and orchestrate data at scale using Microsoft Fabric with the DP-700 certification.


Through this course, you will develop advanced data engineering skills, building the confidence to design loading patterns, data architectures and orchestration processes in Microsoft Fabric. You'll gain a high-level understanding of batch and streaming data, security and monitoring, helping you create reliable pipelines that support analytics across your organisation.

This course covers Fabric workspace configuration, lifecycle management, loading patterns, OneLake shortcuts, mirroring and data transformation using PySpark, SQL and KQL. You will work through streaming, orchestration, monitoring and optimisation while applying patterns that scale from proof of concept to enterprise roll-out. With Aspire 2Be’s hands-on approach, you will reinforce each topic with practical exercises that reflect real-world projects.

The Fabric Data Engineer Associate course provides a deeper understanding of Microsoft Fabric, and prepares you to build robust, maintainable data solutions.

Module 1: Manage an analytics solution

  • Workspace settings and lifecycle management

  • Security, governance and OneLake security

  • Orchestration with pipelines and notebooks

 

Module 2: Ingest and transform batch data

  • Full and incremental loading patterns

  • OneLake shortcuts, mirroring and pipelines

  • Transforming data with PySpark, SQL and KQL

 

Module 3: Ingest and transform streaming data

  • Choosing a streaming engine

  • Processing data with Eventstream and KQL

  • Spark structured streaming and windowing functions

 

Module 4: Monitor and optimise

  • Monitoring, alerts and error resolution

  • Lakehouse, warehouse and Spark optimisation

  • Preparing for the DP-700 exam

The DP-700 exam is delivered online under proctoring and assesses your ability to ingest, transform, secure, monitor and optimise data solutions in Microsoft Fabric. You will have 100 minutes to take the exam. Questions may include multiple choice, scenario-based and interactive items aligned to the official skills measured. Standard Microsoft exam retake policies apply. On passing, you earn the Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate credential.
