Learn how to prepare data, build semantic models and deliver analytics solutions in Microsoft Fabric with the DP-600 certification.


Through this course, you will develop advanced analytics engineering skills, building the confidence to design, prepare and manage analytical assets in Microsoft Fabric. You'll gain a high-level understanding of lakehouses, warehouses and semantic models, helping you create secure, well-governed analytics solutions that support informed business decisions.

This course covers data ingestion and transformation, star schema design, querying with SQL, KQL and DAX, and the design and optimisation of semantic models. You will work through security, version control and deployment pipelines while applying patterns that scale from departmental reporting to enterprise analytics. With Aspire 2Be’s hands-on approach, you will reinforce each topic with practical exercises that reflect real-world projects.

The Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate course provides a deeper understanding of Microsoft Fabric, and prepares you to deliver reliable, high-performing analytics solutions.

Module 1: Maintain an analytics solution

  • Workspace, item and data-level security

  • Version control and deployment pipelines

  • Sensitivity labels and endorsement

 

Module 2: Prepare data

  • Data connections, ingestion and OneLake catalog

  • Star schemas, views and stored procedures

  • Cleansing, joining and aggregating data

 

Module 3: Query and model data

  • Querying with SQL, KQL and DAX

  • Storage modes, relationships and composite models

  • DAX calculations and calculation groups

 

Module 4: Optimisation and operations

  • Direct Lake configuration and incremental refresh

  • Query, DAX and report performance

  • Preparing for the DP-600 exam

The DP-600 exam is delivered online under proctoring and assesses your ability to prepare data, build semantic models and maintain analytics solutions in Microsoft Fabric. You will have 100 minutes to take the exam. Questions may include multiple choice, scenario-based and interactive items aligned to the official skills measured. Standard Microsoft exam retake policies apply. On passing, you earn the Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate credential.
