Choosing to undertake the course as part of her wider professional development, Sara recognised that AI is an emerging and highly relevant area within Learning & Development. Sara felt the qualification would enhance her current role, support her future career progression and strengthen her CV.
Working in a full-time role while also studying and completing other courses, Sara demonstrated strong organisation throughout the programme. Balancing multiple responsibilities required effective time management and resilience, helping her to further develop the discipline needed to succeed while continuing to grow professionally.
One of the most valuable aspects of the course for Sara was the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of how AI tools can be applied within Learning & Development. Through the micro-credential, she gained enhanced knowledge of how AI can improve efficiency, support content creation, and enhance learner engagement. This practical insight has helped her feel more confident in exploring innovative approaches within her day-to-day role.
A key part of Sara’s positive experience was the support she received from her learner coach, Dafydd. His clear guidance, detailed explanations of assignment requirements, and ongoing encouragement helped Sara understand expectations and stay on track throughout the course. From supporting her with accessing learning materials to providing valuable feedback, Dafydd played an important role in making the learning experience both accessible and manageable.
Reflecting on her experience, Sara described the course as both valuable and relevant to her role. It has helped her stay up to date with emerging technologies while developing practical skills that she can apply in her everyday work. As AI continues to shape the future of Learning & Development, Sara now feels better equipped to make the most of new opportunities and apply innovative thinking within her practice.
