Explore how Power BI turns raw data into clear, shareable insights with this Power BI Essentials course.


Through this course, you will discover the fundamentals of Power BI, building the confidence to turn data into clear, meaningful insights. You’ll gain a high-level understanding of how to prepare data, create visual reports, and share findings effectively, helping you communicate information more clearly and support better decision-making.

Discover the basics of the Power BI service and how data flows through it, before learning how to create a simple report from a real data source. You will edit and shape data, try online data extraction and convert it into usable tables, before building visuals that make trends obvious.
 
In this course, you will learn how to share securely, collaborate in workspaces and add a report into Teams so insights sit where discussions happen. You will also discover how to filter and highlight data, export where appropriate and try AI features such as Q&A and smart narrative to speed analysis. Forecasting and further analysis options are introduced so you know where to go next.
 
The aim of this Power BI for beginners course is practical confidence: a first report you can build again, and a clearer view of how Power BI supports your role.

There is no formal exam for this course. Learning is supported through guided discussion, practical examples and scenario-based activities across the day. Following the course you will receive a certificate of completion to include in your professional development file.
